- Is Paraspeech offline speech-to-text for Mac?
- Yes. Local transcription works offline on supported Apple Silicon Macs after you download the model. Check the separate rewrite setting too. Cloud transcription, rewriting and eligible temporary cloud fallback need internet.
- Does it transcribe audio files?
- Yes. File transcription uses a downloaded local model; cloud speech models do not transcribe files in Paraspeech. Any optional rewriting has its own local or cloud setting.
- What Mac do I need?
- Paraspeech requires 14.0 or later. Apple Silicon Macs can run local models; eligible Intel Macs use cloud-backed models on subscription.
